- PDEA nabbed 2 suspects including a Chinese-Filipino during a drug lab raid in Malabon
- The 2 suspects including those recently arrested in Batangas is possibly connected to the infamous “Golden Triangle” syndicate, a known international illegal drug producer
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) raided a suspected shabu warehouse in Tinajeros, Malabon City and nabbed two suspects including a Chinese-Filipino on Friday morning.
PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino said it was a follow-up operation on the shabu laboratory in Batangas where four Chinese and four Filipinos were arrested.
Seized during the operation were suspected chemicals used in the manufacture of ecstasy and shabu including Safrole, which is said to be the main ingredient in manufacturing ecstasy.
PDEA said those arrested in Batangas and Malabon may be connected to the infamous “Golden Triangle” which is notoriously known as a drug-producing region operating near the borders of Thailand, Laos and Myanmar.
“Ito po ay connected sa Golden Triangle syndicate, ito’y isang international drug syndicate na medyo lumalakas po sila [sa] pag-smuggle at pagluto ng droga dtio sa ating bansa,” Aquino said.
