- A shabu laboratory in the guise of a livestock farm was raided by PDEA
- Three Chinese nationals and their three Pinoy cohorts were arrested
- The raid was conducted following a tip from PDEA’s Chinese counterpart
A shabu laboratory in the guise of a livestock farm was raided by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) early Thursday morning in Batangas.
According to GMA News, PDEA agents and local police raided the 1.3-hectare Hingoso Farm in Barangay Santo Niño in Ibaan town at around 5:30 in the morning. Three Chinese nationals were arrested along with their Filipino cohorts.
The raid reportedly coincided with a separate raid in Mainland China as it was PDEA’s Chinese counterpart which informed the anti-drug agency about the Batangas shabu laboratory.
PDEA said the clandestine shabu lab, which has been operating for already three weeks prior to the raid, has the capability to produce 25 kilos of the illegal substance per day.
Liquid shabu, which authorities believed is in the last phase of the manufacturing process, was recovered. Lab equipment and raw materials were also seized.
