The Department of Tourism (DOT) has welcomed another milestone.
The international tourist arrivals during first quarter of 2018 has breached the 2-million mark, the tourism department disclosed on Sunday, May 6.
“We already welcomed over two million foreign guests to the Philippines in just three months compared to last year when it took four months or until April to reach two million,” Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo said.
Tourism statistics tallied 2,049,094 international visitors for the first quarter of the year.
What was recorded this year is 14.80 percent higher compared to the 1,784,882 that was recorded in the same period last year.
