Around 40 vehicles were impounded by the Land Transportation Office (LTO), Land Transportation and Franchising Regulatory Board, (LTFRB) and the military during operations held at the Kabacan, Mlang, and Matalam in North Cotabato from Thursday until Saturday.
Within three days of operation, 34 passenger vans without franchise, 12 motorcycles whose drivers were not wearing helmet, no driver’s license, and expired registration were impounded.
Two multicabs were also impounded due to expired registration.
As of this posting, only 4 vans, 6 motorcycles, and 1 multicab were able to pay the fine.
A caught colorum van was fined P200,000.
The rest of the vehicles are currently impounded at the headquarters of the 7th Infantry Battalion in Barangay Lower Paatan, Kabacan.
