Ai Ai delas Alas, the talent manager of the Filipino rap group ‘Ex Battalion’ came to their defense, after “unauthorized use” of their song “Hayaan Mo Sila” by some candidates in their election campaigns became known.
Ai Ai posted on Instagram the photo of her request addressing local candidates who have used or is planning to use the group’s hit song and its melody.
“We request, in the spirit of integrity and fair play, the concerned individuals to cease and resist from such unauthorized use of the song and its melody. Please be advised that the group reserves its right to avail of the remedies under relevant laws afforded it. Thank you,” the note said.
However, Ai Ai left a contact number for those who are interested to use the group’s song with permission.
She wrote, “Para po sa lahat ng kumakandidato .. may kagawad sa qc at meron pang sa makati at sa lahat ng mga gumagamit ng kanta .. kung gusto nyong gamitn ang kanta mag text lamang sa (0917) 750 0291, maraming salamat po.”
