She also shared how the donations will make such a huge impact to the children of Marawi. Curtis wrote, “Albeit this may be a small amount compared to what needs to be done but as I say, any help can go a long way. My sincere gratitude to all of you! Till the next one? THANK YOU a million times.”

Curtis earlier shared how challenging the London marathon was but what kept her going was her goal to help the Filipino youth.

UPDATED: Today I close my simply giving page at PHP 507,249.00 ?. Thank you to everyone that donated. As promised, I shall match this amount for a total of 1,014,498.00 PESOS (Thank you sa mga nag last minute donation) ?? We reached 603% more than my target and I have all of YOU to thank! I’ve read each and every comment that everyone left on my page. I saw that there were people from all over the world leaving encouraging messages ? Maraming Salamat po.. but the true winners here are the Children of Marawi. I was able to see photos from the Country Representative of @unicefphils Ms. Lotta Sylwander when she did a site visit and that led me to dedicate and fundraise for them. The aftermath of the war has greatly affected their lives. Their families have been displaced, some don’t have access to basic social needs such as education and health care. Albeit, this may be a small amount compared to what needs to be done but as I say, any help can go a long way. My sincere gratitude to all of you! Till the next one? THANK YOU a million times. . .???????. . The artwork on my nails represent all the helping hands that donated and @unicef’s logo for Child Survival. Thank you @mimsqiu for doing this special request. ????? . #LondonMarathon #LondonMarathANNEventure

The smile you make when you get to the home stretch. All the pain, cramps, crazy thoughts, the shortness of breath disappear. You realize YOU’VE DONE IT. The feeling of euphoria rushes through your body and the smile cannot be erased off of your face. ? I let the @unicefphils flag fly high and proud knowing that all the pain, tears and each of the 42 kilometers were worth it. THE CHILDREN OF THE PHILIPPINES ARE WORTH IT. I will never tire of doing what I can – whether a big or small gesture – to help make this world a better place for children. Thank you to everyone that donated! As of today, we have raised 381,707 and still counting on my simply giving page!!! I’ve read all the comments and I’m truly so grateful. From the bottom of my heart, a humongous hug and kiss to everyone around the world that donated. As promised, I shall match the final amount. All funds raised will go towards UNICEF’S response for Marawi Children ???? Again, THANK YOU! #LondonMarathon #LondonMarathANNEventure
