Another hailstorm occurred in the Philippines on May 8. This time, it rained down in Conner, Apayao, as disclosed by ABS-CBN News.
Although no one got hurt from the incident, these pellets of ice almost wrecked the roofs of three houses in barangay Malama, Caglayan and Ripang.
According to Ivy Carasi, public information officer of Office of the Civil Defense ng Cordillera Administrative Region, the storm was a bit longer and the pellets were much bigger than in Atok and Bontoc in Benguet.
The hail lasted for 30 minutes and was accompanied by strong winds.
According to PAGASA, the occurrence was due to hot temperature in Apayao especially now that it’s summer.
The public is advised to stay inside their houses in case of another hailstorm.
