“Be sure to give your warmest hello to our AutiSM at Work participants who are #HappyToServe at SM Hypermarket Molino. This program is part of SM Markets’ advocacy to provide equitable opportunities for persons with autism (PWAs) and nurture a culture of workplace inclusion in partnership with Autism Society Philippines.”

Dagdag pa nila: “Participants in the program (3 PWAs for every store) are assigned various tasks in the supermarket selling area, such as returning stray items, organizing carts and baskets, and assisting customers. Simultaneously, there is an in-store advocacy campaign to help educate customers on how to deal respectfully with their workers with autism.

“Thank you SM for creating opportunities for the differently-abled! God bless!”

“Yes! Finally! This program will give those in the spectrum the opportunity to work, experience the mainstream and make the community more inclusive! We need more establishments here in the Philippines to adapt this kind of program.”

“They also have the same program at SM San Mateo. Kudos to SM! Thanks for giving our differently–abled children a chance and opportunity to make themselves productive when they grow up. We hope it’s a good start for other company as well to hire them for their skills.”
