If there’s only one dose of COVID-19 vaccine left and you have to choose who to give it to, either between a 15-year-old or a senior citizen, a 70-year-old, which one will you give it to and why?’

“Both answers are correct because both choices are correct. The truth is, the best answer didn’t depend on the candidates’ perspective and how they defend their answers, BUT on the judges’ point of view about that certain situation.

“Unfortunately, they don’t seek the best answer, they are looking for ANSWER THAT SUPPORTS THEIR OWN OPINION. It’s not about who answered it correctly, but it’s about whose answer is going to validate the judges’ own formulated answers.”

“Miss Philippines’ answer is based on reality because she supported it with real-life experiences BUT on that exact day and exact place, the universe has conspired to gather a set of judges where most of them have more love for children than elders, for a better future, some of them are very futuristic, some of them may have hate for elders or may have bad experience/s with their parents.”

“At kahit sabihin pa natin na nagkamali sa 16 imbes na 15 years old,  it doesn’t matter naman, mas nagma-matter naman yong kabuuan ng diwa at substance ng sagot,” pagtatanggol ng netizen kay Sam.

“Miss Philippines, bringing the experiences and influences of Filipino culture to the international stage, has shown to the world that THIS IS US FILIPINOS, GRABE TAYO MAGMAHAL SA MGA MATATANDA. But the reality tells us that OUR CULTURE IS DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS. OUR TRUTH IS DIFFERENT FROM THE TRUTH OF EVERYBODY,” giit pa niya.

“But judges disagreed because some of them were atheist, non believers, some of them didn’t believe that there is/are God/gods, some of them don’t see LOVE the way we see as Filipinos.”

“If you want to win a pageant having this kind of questions, don’t stand your own principles and beliefs but consider the opinion and POVs of everybody especially judges’ POV. Nakakatawa man pero sa true lang. But if winning isn’t your priority and you just want to be real and true in front of everybody, then answer the question with your OWN truth and never expect that everyone will agree with you.”

Pagbati kay Samantha Bernardo, ang ating Miss Grand International 2020 First Runner-Up!
